Star Blade: Operation Blue Planet (スターブレード: オペレーション・ブループラネット) is an unreleased 3DCG Shooter that was on display at the 2001 Amusement Show. The game was a large-scale amusement machine prototype which featured contents to make it a sequel to Starblade. The cabinet, O.R.B.S., featured a half-sphere screen which was still under development back then. Using the latest 3DCG technology and voice navigation, players were immersed in the ambiance of space as an actual spacefighter pilot within the game. To this day, people who had an opportunity to play the game still talk about how epic it was to see space appear on the machine's giant screen[1].
Strangereal-Galaxian Timeline[]
In 2659 AD (559 A.G.), the final era in warfare prior to Fardraut Pitarmil Folsa Repcke begins. The remnants of the UIMS converge to begin the invasion of Earth. The UGSF initiated Operation: Blue Planet to counter the invasion. Within a year, the fortress "Mega-Mouth" and the flagship "Commander" are destroyed, thus ending the operation in success. The UGSF loses 97% of their fleet that were constructed during "Project D 2nd", but the Galaxians managed to eradicate the UIMS that remained on Earth[1]. From this point onward, Pax Galaxia begins.
