The Sacred Religious State (神聖宗教国　「しんせいしゅうきょうこく」) is a monotheistic theocracy that thrives on ancient technology and sciences that have already been perfected in ancient times which have been described by the Scriptures. The official name is Celestia tian Farous (セレスティア・ティアン・ファーウス (the Sixth Planet, Celestia)). The language spoken by the commoners is the Melnics language whilst the Royalty and the Crusade Chivalric Order use a hybrid of Old Xevi and Melnics as their official language. The homeworld of the SRS is located on the inner edge of the Scutum-Crux Arm within the Seyfert System.

The Scriptures have been handed down since ancient times which the nation deciphers and imitates.They not only contain science but also customs, laws, and ideas which caused them to be revered as a source of monotheistic worship of a single nameless divine entity. To manage them, Scripture Proxies perform within their professional duties with the scripture deciphering being the most important. The Scripture Proxies show several hundred decipherers (Priests) how to proceed with the decoding, then order thousands of engineers (Generating Priest) to embody the work of God in the Scriptures and guide the nation through the clergy where the Scriptures are transmitted. The power of the scriptures cannot be used without permission of the Scripture Proxy. Their representatives hold religious, political, and military decision making authorities.

As it is a theocracy, the Sacred Religious State does not have a developing science like the United Galaxy. The recreated science and technology, from the battleships over a kilometer long to armored suits of soldiers (Warrior Priest) is a biological weapon. The bioweapons, described in the Scriptures as "autonomous weapons," had a brain and could seek out and attack their own enemies. However, in the S.R.S., the recreated bioweapons cannot act autonomously because the Priests and Generating Priests failed to decipher and generate the brain. Therefore, the master, Mustel, is inserted into the Main Cerebral Repository to control the bioweapon via telepathic transmission of control intentions to its neural system.

A week in the Sacred Religious State is ten different days of the week with the three mentioned days; Tiutoun Deya, Baetindi Deya, and Gudiiomudzu Deya.

Ancient Civilization Era

Thousands of years before the New Space Order War, there existed an ancient civilization in the galaxy.

This ancient civilization had a double planet as its homeworld and many planets as its territory. These planets manipulated science, neither biological nor mechanical, and were all connected by a spatio-temporal connection line using diastasion technology, allowing them to travel as if they were adjacent to all other planets thousands of lightyears away. Legend has it that the technology was so advanced that one could look up at the sky and see the surface of the neighboring planet, and people could come and go as they pleased. This technology was more advanced than the NSO Starline in that it could both distort space-time and allow for the movement of living organisms.

These overwhelming scientific powers were supported by the existence of an ultimate knowledge-holding entity called "Farous," itself an event-controlling entity with high ESP manifestation. It is unknown when and for what reason these "Farous" arose in the ancient civilization, but it is certain that they knew everything and had the power to manipulate everything.

This "Farous" is said to have been divided into ten units, five each in satellite orbit around the double planet homeworld. Both of them enjoyed the benefits of this power, and it is said that this starline led not only to the double planets, but also to all of the interstellar nations part of them, and that these nations were greatly developed.

Fall of the Ancient Civilization

The level of science in the civilian world is very low, reminiscing the countryside of the Medieval and Early Modern Europe on Earth. Thus, the rarely seen technology of the Scriptures is seen as an "Act of God," worshipping and respecting the priest and masters who master it.

This interstellar nation later experienced a major civil war. Details are unknown, but it is reported by the Sacred Religious State as the "War of Divine Punishment."

This War of Divine Punishment, in essence an interstellar civil war, reportedly ended with enormous damage, including the loss of the second homeworld on one side, all territorial planets, and nine "Farous." The only remaining "Farous" also fell from orbit to the surface at this time. It is easy to guess that the reason for the loss of these "Farous," the ultimate knowledge holder and event controller, was the key to victory in the civil war, perhaps as a result of fighting over them by participating forces, but at any rate, only one "Farous" unit was left. Immediately after the loss of the "Farous," the surviving first homeworld lost most of its knowledge and event control functions, and then suffered decline. This made even the one remaining "Farous" difficult to decipher, and soon they had no more knowledge of "Farous."

Over eons, this first homeworld lost its advanced science and degenerated to the most basic forms of human production, including farming and hunting. The name of the "Farous", having fallen to the ground and become inaccessible, became forgotten and a mere spiritual refuge.

Scripture Discovery and the Sacred Religious State

Such a Dark Age period continued for a long time, and at one point, some people began to receive mysterious knowledge from the "Farous." They collected only what they could understand from the information they received and began to apply this knowledge to their daily lives. Through repeated successes and failures, they realized that they were similar to the forces of ancient folklore and stories.

However, their knowledge was too incomprehensible to those around them, and they were persecuted as madmen. They avoided persecution and eventually gathered others of the same power to live in the "Farous" vicinity. From this time on, they began to refer to the nameless "Farous" as a source of sacred knowledge in the ancient civilization language of "Kurato (originally meaning "source", "origin", or "primordial", from which the word "Scripture" is translated)," and they called the land where the Scripture was located "Deolta Harlo" (Light of Hope)."

By the power of the revealed Scriptures, they subjugated the entire planet. But it was not through armed invasion. Many of the peoples who recognized the Scriptures’ power, in awe of it, sought them and their power, sometimes in starvation or hardship, and they too gave generously of that power. Over time, this process of repetition transformed awe into worship, and all the peoples gathered around the Scriptures. Thus, the Sacred Religious State is established.

Establishment of Life Ship Creation Technology

They were transformed from persecuted people to objects of worship. From this time on, the era of deciphering and applying Scriptures began from the dark age of ignorance. From among the many people who worshiped the scriptures, they gathered those who possessed the same abilities to further decipher them. They deduced vocabulary from old legends and folklore, and finally acquired the knowledge of the "flying ship."

This was the decipherment of Chapter 3 of the First Scripture, "Chapter of Divine Technique," Volume 2, "Power Ship Volume."

However, it was very different from what we Earthlings imagine when we hear the words "flying ship." It was a lifeform, and above all, a ship that flew not in the sky but in space. They had a "living spaceship." They named them "arks" or "apostle ships" and used it to flap across the sky and into space. Finally, in the wreckage of the second homeworld, one side of the double planet destroyed in the former War of Divine Punishment, they found the fragment of their long-cherished Ninth Scripture.

There was a reason for their obsession with the Ninth Scripture. It was an unimaginably large lexicon, or lexicography, that recorded the ancient civilization’s grammars and word meanings.

The discovery of the Ninth Scripture’s fragments changed the world drastically from the speculative and incomplete decipherment in the Sacred Religious State up to that time. It made possible the decipherment of the previously undeciphered First Scripture, Chapter 3, "The Divine Technique," Volume 1, Section 32 onward, i.e., the "Light Ship Volume." The life ship obtained by this decipherment is the "chief divine power ship."

However, the Ninth Scripture’s lexicon was in fragments, and much of the vocabulary’s meanings remained unintelligible. And even those that could be deciphered were often based on concepts that were incomprehensible to the Sacred Religious State’s people, making the "Light Ship Volume's" decipherment a terribly incomplete task. Eventually, the parts that could not be understood were supplemented in their own way with mystical rituals and deceptive means, in short, with "prayers" and "sacrifices." As a result, the generation technology’s immaturity was indescribable, and the generated chief divine power ship was very half-baked, with a very low reproduction rate in the 60% range, and significantly inferior to the "perfect body’s" original performance as described in the Scriptures.

Still, the chief power ship was powerful enough to astonish them. Above all, unlike previous life ships, it shot arrows of light that penetrated everything. One cannot even begin to guess how amazed they were.
