Galaxian 3: The Rising of Gourb (ギャラクシアン3 ザ・ライジング・オブ・ガーブ) is an original scenario found in the PSX port of Galaxian 3. Players can play up to 4 players and the game featured a game recorder, a gunner mode, and more options that give them the most out of the world of Galaxian 3. The Playstation port of Galaxian 3 was released on April 26, 1996.

Strangereal-Galaxian Timeline

In the year 2245 AD (145 A.G.); the UIMS Δ (Delta), evolved version of the original UIMS, invade planet Corneus and extracted the planet's energy to create and utilize GOURB (Gravitaional Orbital Uncommon Radiation Breeder) as an act of revenge against the UGSF for the destruction of Cannon Seed two years earlier. In response, the United Galaxy deploys the Dragoon R Delta (an improved version of the original Dragoon) to destroy GOURB. Within the year; GOURB, along with Corneus, was destroyed. This led the UIMS Δ to retreat.

Eight years later in 153 A.G., the UGSF initiates Project D, evaluating and adopting various technology from the remnants of the UIMS and UIMS Δ into their usage, in order to face future extraterrestrial threat. This process made it possible for the Galaxians to reduce the size of their spacefighters and increase the firepower and mobility performance. The technological application adoptions became the long running standard used among future spacecrafts.

At around 160 A.G., the technology acquired from the UIMS made it possible for the United Galaxy to conduct large scale immigration across the galaxy, bringing about planetary modifications. As a result, 60 star systems came under Galaxian order with a total of over 40 billion in population residing within those star systems.
