Cyber Sled

Cyber Sled (サイバースレッド) is a 1993 third-person shooter arcade game released by Namco; it runs on their Namco System 21 arcade hardware, and was later ported to the Sony PlayStation in 1996, and later the Wii Virtual Console in 2009. The game would receive a sequel in 1994, titled Cyber Commando, which was exclusive to Japan.

In 2067, large events were taken place featuring head-to-head combat featuring armored vehicles known as VEHICLE for entertainment purposes. The same year the United Government was formed, the G.A.L.O.F Corporation was commissioned to construct a Type-3 space island colony codenamed "URANUS" to control the population of Earth. Around this time, the military operations from allied nations were abolished, and from the remains four groups were constructed; the United Government Army (UGA), the United Government Navy (UGN), the United Government Air Force (UGAF) and the United Government Space Force (UGSF). The United Government Space Force becomes the prime leader of the creation of technology, leading to the eventual founding of the UGSF Special Attack Team "Cyber Commando".
